Why is Photoshop Good for Web Design?

Why is Photoshop Good for Web Design?

Photoshop is a great graphics editor. It was originally designed for photo editing, but it can be used for many other tasks. One of such is web design. Now days, nearly all professional web designers are using Photoshop to build websites because of its powerful features and easy to use tools. If you have never designed a website before you can simply use Photoshop to handle everything from design to code for you. However, this is not the best way to design a website, but it is possible, and if you are new to the web design world you can get a website up and running quickly without learning HTML and CSS.

Using Photoshop to design a website is not the same as designing a brochure for example. You need to know the limitations of the current web browsers and the functions available on the web. For example, you might come up with something that’s totally amazing, but later you find out it isn’t buildable. Understanding the limitations will allow you to bend the rules without breaking them! Many London website design professionals tend to prefer to design the layout and graphics in Photoshop and then slice the images afterward. So if you are serious about designing websites you need to use software like Dreamweaver along with Photoshop.

Photoshop Tips For Novice Web Designers

Photoshop Tips For Novice Web Designers

Have you thought about designing your own website? The truth is you don’t need to be a professional web designer to design websites? However, you do need some design background in order to create a decent looking website. If you have done some research yourself you know the first step starts from Photoshop or paper. You need to create the design first before any coding can take place. Fortunately, it’s actually quite simple when you know the basics of web design and how a website is structured. You might want to read some materials on this before designing one.

Creating a website layout in Photoshop will require you to know there are three main components – the header, the body and the footer. You might also have a sidebar. Think of these as containers that will hold your contents on the page. A web page is normally structured in this way, so if you can get your head around this you will find it much easier in designing it. You should create a folder in the layers palette for each one of these containers and put graphics, text, images in them accordingly. Doing so will keep your document organized.

The next thing you need to decide is the wide of your website. At the time of writing this article, the most common screen resolution is 1024px x 768px. Knowing this, your website layout should be no wider than 950px otherwise the scroll bar will appear. You can take a screenshot of the browser window and use that a guide to help you see how the page would look like with it. Simply cut out the content section after the printscreen command and then stick it on the very top layer. You can switch it on and off to see the difference.

Gravatar means Globally Recognized Avatar, an image represents yourself when you give comments in wordpress & drupal blogs. Unfortunately, blogspot doesn’t have this service at this moment. You may use any image to represent yourself. People commonly use their own photo for gravatar, while some people use their blog icon to represent theirself. You only have to submit your email address to use this service…

Klasifikasi Font Dalam Desain Grafis

Klasifikasi Font Dalam Desain Grafis

Definisi serif menurut wikipedia: serifs are semi-structural details on the ends of some of the strokes that make up letters and symbols
