This psd-tutorial article will teach you how to make a text glow effect with Adobe Photoshop. I created this tutorial based on an article that I saw here, then I simplified it to make it easier to apply. You can also learn how to use text effects which I will share in this tutorial.

This text effect is fairly easy to make, but requires patience. I’ve modified the original tutorial to make it simpler to use. Glowing text makes a neat design for your laptop or pc’s wall paper.

Some things you should consider:

• If you do not understand my explanation, you can download his psd file to see the end result.
• if you want your writing to be neater, you should do one letter at a time. This will make the light / glow look neater than the picture above, but it is very time consuming.
• the background color can be adjusted according to your taste, but the background color should be dark or near black so that the glow will appear brighter.
• If you want to make this text effect offline, you can save the tutorial to your computer.
